If you have any old issues of the DS Quarterlies not currently posted on the members section of the website, please consider scanning them and sending to me for posting on the site. These back issues are full of great information. Also, if there is an article worthy or either re-printing or posting on the website, let me know.

Watch for the May issue of Maine Boats & Harbors magazine for an article by Art Paine about Day Sailers. The article should include photos by Deb Mason-McCaffrey and the 2014 NACR in Sharon, MA. Here's the website:

DS98 Member Bruce Cameron brought this ad to my attention. What a great reminder to use the social media sites for housing deals during NACR.

There are many others to use and consider. Just search the web...

In an effort to become more efficient, the Measurement Certificates from the NAC were scanned and emailed to all participants. Originals will be mailed with the next Quarterly. Having electronic copies of these documents will help immensely when registering online, or at the next North American Championship Regatta at Put-in-Bay. Thanks to Ted Dickson for scanning and forwarding them for distribution.

Sea-Legs, Inc. was founded in 1998 and has introduced more than 1000 children to sailing. Most of our kids would not, otherwise, have had any maritime experience or education because of their circumstances. We also run an apprentice program in which our advanced sailors earn wages while they learn to be shipwrights.

This nonprofit group has acquired a Day Sailer for their instruction program and will soon be joining the DSA. Sail donation preferred. Organization is a 501c3. Contact CEO Dick Lathrop at 860-912-5393 for more information.
